Publication Ethics

This statement is adapted from the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and includes a code of ethics for the editor in chief, editorial board members, reviewers, and writers. This statement is based on:

Articles published in IJSET Journal : Jurnal Sciences, Education and Technology is a building block (series of writings) that is very important in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge about Sciences, MIPA education (Social and Mathematics Education, Physics Education, Biology Education, Chemical Education) and Technology that is a direct reflection the quality of writers and institutions. It is therefore important to agree on the expected standard of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: writers, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the public. Editor of IJSET Journal : Jurnal Sciences, Education and Technology is committed to ensuring that all procedures are directed solely to facilitate objective and intellectual treatment. Furthermore, the editors and reviewers evaluate the manuscript regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or certain political and group interests. The software is used to avoid plagiarism among articles.

Tasks of Authors

  1. Having the responsibility to ensure only new and original works are submitted. (does not contain plagiarism)
  2. It is not permissible to reproduce works that have previously been published in other journals.
  3. It may not send any articles that are being reviewed or considered by journals to other journals simultaneously.
  4. Only allowed to publish their work elsewhere after receiving an official refusal from the journal or if their request to withdraw their work is officially accepted by the journal.
  5. Must notify Editor-in-Chief or publisher of inaccurate data in their published work so that correction or revocation of articles can be made.
  6. Must make a significant contribution and be responsible for any shortcomings in their work.

Tasks of Reviewers

  1. Disclose the suitability of the area of interest before agreeing to review submission.
  2. Can refuse to review any submission due to a conflict of interest or inadequate knowledge.
  3. Review all submission objectively, fairly, and professionally.
  4. Expressing ethical errors encountered when reviewing the Editor in Chief for further action.
  5. Ensure the authenticity of the submission and be aware of all plagiarism and excessive publication.
  6. May not discuss submission content without permission.
  7. Comply with the time allocated for the review process. Request for extension to review submissions is at the discretion of the Editor in Chief.

Tasks of Editorial Board Members

  1. Actively contribute to the development and goodness of the journal.
  2. Acting as a journal ambassador.
  3. Continue to support and promote the journal.
  4. Review the work assigned to them.

Tasks of Editor in Chief

  1. Evaluate the text fairly and solely based on their intellectual abilities.
  2. Ensure the confidentiality of the manuscript and not disclose information about the manuscript to anyone other than the person involved in the publishing process.
  3. Have the responsibility to decide when and which articles will be published.
  4. Actively seek views of board members, reviewers, and authors on how to improve/ enhance the journal's image and visibility.
  5. Give clear instructions to potential contributors to the delivery process and what is expected of the author.
  6. Make sure the right reviewers are selected.
